1. Can I have my corporate event at CITY MUSEUM?
Yes! City Museum can handle all types of events, from huge corporate events to weddings to bar and bat mitzvahs, to anniversaries. If you can think of it, it can probably happen here!
2. Do I have to use one of the caterers from the preferred caterers list?
Yes, you must choose one of the following caterers. City Museum works with the following fine caterers:

3. What do the caterers provide, and do I contact them directly?
Your caterer will provide all food and beverages, including alcohol, for your event. You will also work with them in renting tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment for your event.
4. What does the rental fee include?
Your rental fee includes private use of the room during a specific time period, supervision by City Museum staff and cleaning crew*, parking on a first-come, first-serve basis, and general admission** to the rest of the facility during the event.
*Additional staffing and cleaning fees may apply depending on the size of the event and amount of space rented.
**General admission access excludes the World Aquarium; additional fees will apply.

Does CITY MUSEUM provide decorations for private events?
Decoration arrangements must be made with outside vendors of your choice.
6.
Can I have music at my event at CITY MUSEUM?
Yes, you may have a band, DJ, or other music of your choice playing in your space during the event. CITY MUSEUM reserves the right to limit volume during events.
7.
What parts of the museum are available for my guests to explore during my event?
For private events occurring during museum hours, guests have access to all parts of the museum excluding the World Aquarium, which is available for an additional fee. For private events occurring when the museum is closed, specific areas such as World Aquarium*, Enchanted Caves, MonstroCity, Beatnik Bob's, Art City, and EveryDayCircus*, must be rented and pre-arranged with Facility Rental Coordinator.
*Client must contact World Aquarium and EveryDayCircus directly for pricing information.

Where are my guests allowed to park, and how many spaces are available?
CITY MUSEUM parking is included in facility rental. Parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 85 spots in the Serpent Lot on 16th Street, which is CITY MUSEUM's main lot. Overflow parking is available for free in an adjacent parking lot at 15th Street & Delmar, in addition to metered street parking.

When can I access the room before the event?
Your rental includes two hours of set-up time prior to your event’s start time. Day Rental set-up time is 9:00am with an 11:00am event start time and Evening Rental set-up time is 5:00pm with a 7:00pm event start time.

May I store materials for my event at CITY MUSEUM?
Materials, including decorations or other equipment, cannot be stored before or after the time you have rented the room.
11.
How and when may I secure my date for my event at CITY MUSEUM?
Private events are generally booked one year in advance. One date, in one room, may be tentatively held for up to two weeks before signing the rental contract and paying the $500 deposit.
12.
What forms of payment are accepted for my event at CITY MUSEUM?
CITY MUSEUM accepts Visa, Mastercard, and checks payable to “CITY MUSEUM”. Cash payments are discouraged.
13.
What are the cancellation policies for events at CITY MUSEUM?
Events may not be cancelled once the $500 deposit has been paid and rental contract has been signed. However, because we realize that some circumstances cannot be avoided, CITY MUSEUM is happy to reschedule the event for a different date, but will not refund any portion of the deposit. You will research and contact your caterer directly for pricing information.
