Though not intentionally designed to be an academic facility, CITY MUSEUM lends itself well to the learning process as a laboratory of sorts; where practical knowledge may be introduced in a whimsical, thoughtful and artistic manner. This method allows for a dynamic and novel expansion of in-class curriculum, as students typically drop their "scholastic guard" once immersed in the eccentric environment of the museum.

If you are interested, we have pre-arranged learning activities grouped by curriculum areas (Communication Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, etc.), though some challenges may be applicable in more than one area of study. Students will be compelled to seek answers for questions pertaining to items and features within the CITY MUSEUM; some are simple concepts, while others are more involved and will likely foster healthy discussion afterwards. If some activities are beyond the scope of your classroom, please feel free to disregard them.

Busloads are always welcome! We can accommodate nearly any size group, and our facility offers a variety of options for concessions, boxed lunches and other conveniences.

For an additional educational experience you can arrange a 45-minute guided tour of the World Aquarium. During this tour you will visit each of the ten themed areas including Sharks, the Hidden Forrest, Sandcastle Beach, Curiosity Classroom, Spielberg Center for Oceanic Discovery, and more! Students will experience first-hand curriculum concepts such as biodiversity, water cycle, adaptation, and more that tie into many grade levels. Please contact City Museum to learn how you can add this rich experience at the World Aquarium for your school's visit to City Museum.

45-minute group tours to the World Aquarium are only $5 per person in addition to your City Museum admission. (To set up a World Aquarium group tour contact the Aquarium at
