Natural History

This room houses thousands of insects from the U.S., and a series from a trip to Ecuador in 1996. The fact that 95% of these specimens are from Missouri shows the almost limitless variety of species available to the entomologist.

Recent donations have added to the assorted geological specimens of rocks, minerals, fossils, geodes and crystals on display.

Zoological items include taxidermy mounts, skulls, skins, shells and specimens in alcohol.

Scientific equipment such as lab glass, microscopes, and optical apparatus fill out an eclectic collection of items on display at the museum.
