The long- awaited, much discussed, occasionally
trespassed
City Museum
roof helped visitors reach new heights
for the first time on June 6, 2009. The
now-open rooftop features Big Eli, a
restored, revived, and revolving four-story Ferris wheel, a wide-and steep rope ramp slide, a stepping stone-festooned Splash Pond, a massive rope swing, and up-close and personal views with the famed City Museum Schoolbus and Praying Mantis, among other things. Rouge roosters have been known to strut past surprised visitors

| World's Largest Pencil |

City Museum: Home of the World's Largest Pencil. This mother-of-all writing utensil stretches 76 feet long and weighs 21,500 lbs. It writes--and erases. It's a No. 2, so it's accepted for standardized testing. The Pencil now rests inside Skateless Park (3rd floor) and is available for everyone to enjoy.
