DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday\, September 18 from 7pm–11pm\n\n\n\nGrab your dirndl or lederhosen and put on your dancing shoes\, because it’s time to kick off the Fall season with one of the world’s oldest drinks and Bavaria’s greatest tradition — Oktoberfest! \n\n\n\n“Why is it in September if it’s called Oktoberfest?” Great question! Although the event started with a celebration of King Ludwig’s wedding in October 1810\, local wars\, epidemics\, recessions\, weather\, and other influences have pushed it around the calendar over its 200+ year history. Oktoberfest also absorbed some of the late-Summer/early-Fall agricultural celebrations around the harvest season\, and the modern event in Munich is now scheduled almost entirely in September\, ending the first weekend of October. \n\n\n\nExplore hidden corners\, sip seasonal brews\, and raise a toast with local Oompah band ÜberCool in one of the most unique venues in the city! \n\n\n\n\nTurn the tables: Live music and entertainment by Übercool\n\n\n\nPlay all day\, party all night: Your event ticket includes General Admission for the full day of the event\, so you can arrive as eagerly early or fashionably late as you wish\n\n\n\nAdults only: We’re closing early so you can party! City Museum will be fully open (outdoor areas depending on weather) during City Nights\, so those slides\, climbers\, and ramps are all yours to explore\n\n\n\nArts and crafts: Grab your glue sticks\, Art City is here to help you collage your own customized button or other crafty keepsake\n\n\n\nFull belly\, happy heart: Food\, drinks\, beer\, and cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the museum\n\n\n\nHands-on experience: Sample new 4 Hands Brewing products\, including the City Museum Pilsner and Hard Seltzer!\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCity Nights events are 21+ only with valid ID.
