Vocal — The City Museum is not… really a museum. It’s like if a playground and a junkyard had a baby and then gave it a sugar rush. There are slides (the 10-story one is wild), tunnels, caves, random art installations, and an old school bus hanging off the roof.

KLIS 590AM “In Your City” — We welcome Katy Enrique from the City Museum, one of St. Louis’s most iconic attractions. She takes us inside their new Labyrinth exhibit, gives us a peek at City Nights—the museum’s adults-only evening series—and teases all the Halloween fun coming this fall.

Financial Times — Artist Bob Cassilly’s incredible playground made from salvaged bits of construction equipment at a vast former shoe factory in St Louis for the City Museum is, I think, a work of genius, as engaging as any contemporary artwork and bringing far more pleasure.

St. Louis Magazine — Goo Goo Dolls cofounder Robby Takac is somewhat smitten with the architectural playground known as City Museum. “I will literally run in there for 45 minutes whenever I can. I brought my daughter there when she was really small, and I have really wanted to bring her back ever since because, well, she was really small the last time I took her there. I’ve been there probably five or six times. I love it.”

FOX2 — It’s time to stuff the School Bus (on the Rooftop?!) with school supplies for Kidsmart at City Museum

FOX2 — “The castle’s going to come up and you’re gonna be able to walk out at the end the airplane into the top of the castle roof, or you can go out this balcony or out through the door and there will be different walkways,” Cassilly told Pertzborn during the construction.

FOX2 – Tim Ezell traveled to the City Museum to visit the museum’s new exhibit, Labyrinth, which is set to open on July 4. While at the museum, Ezell had the opportunity to speak with City Museum Historian Maria Cassilly.
