Art City at City Museum is a hands-on creative maker space, where imagination takes center stage. Tucked inside the 4th Floor, this vibrant alcove invites guests of all ages to roll up their sleeves and make something of their own. From printmaking and clay sculpting to painting, collage, and other rotating workshops, Art City offers a chance to slow down and create in the middle of all the climbing and exploring.

Glow City
The last week of each month, Art City transforms into GLOW CITY!
This black light art studio transforms your imagination into glowing creations, where every brushstroke, doodle, and design shines with vibrant neon colors. Guests of all ages can experiment with fluorescent paints, glowing markers, and other radiant materials to craft art that literally lights up the room. Whether you’re painting a masterpiece or just having fun with color, Glow City offers a playful, otherworldly space where creativity glows as bright as your imagination.

September is MONSTRO JAM!!
Celebrating the Back to School season, as well as a visit from Monster Jam’s “Classroom Crusher” the new school bus-themed monster truck on Thursday, September 18! Crafters can choose from three different City Museum school buses to decorate, available for purchase in Art City.
Other Available Crafts:
Pompon Garland – Create a 3-foot garland made of colorful yarn, perfect to decorate a bedroom, dorm, locker or vehicle
Scoubidou Lanyard – Colorful braided lanyard perfect for keys or keyring embellishments
Mosaic Tuits – Self-designed Round Tuits decorated with glass, beads, and other materials.
Glow City (select dates) – Black-light reactive painted rocks
