Spooky Season is here, and Fright at the Museum, our one-of-a-kind, all-ages Halloween celebration kicks off this weekend!
Every October, the museum transforms into a hauntingly fun wonderland with eerie installations, spooky surprises around every corner, live entertainment, and seasonal cocktails worth screaming home about.
Fright-tastic Exhibits
Dare to venture into the unknown as you explore our carefully curated exhibits of the bizarre, the enigmatic, and the extraordinary. From artifacts that defy explanation to peculiar specimens that challenge the limits of your imagination, Fright at the Museum promises an unforgettable encounter with the unconventional.

Scream-Worthy Entertainment
Step into the world of the Sideshow with fire breathers, sword swallowers, and other carnival curiosities at Doc Terminus’ Odditorium, or hear messages from the other side with a live séance at Whispers from Beyond. For something slower paced, join the City Museum Witch for Not-So-Spooky Storytelling on the 4th Floor, see the Happy Haunted Harmony Circus with Circus Harmony, or enjoy The Organist’s Awakening with Terry Nord from the St. Louis Theatre Organ Society.

Slightly Possessed Spirits
Enter a world of magic, mystery, and a dash of the macabre at Coven & Cauldron (Cabin Inn Bar) with a Poison Apple cocktail. Indulge in the mystique of ancient lore and blood-thirsty beasts at Vampire Bar (Cowboy Bar) with a Zombie Shot, served in a syringe, or True Blood, served in a blood bag. Ignore those warning signs and radiation dials, the Mad Scientist’s Lab (Beatnik Bob’s) is serving Fall Old Fashioned and PSL White Russian cocktails that are out of this world!

Whether you’re here for the spooky scenes, the spectacle, or just the strange, we look forward to scaring seeing you!
Fright at the Museum is October 1–26, 2025 and is included with General Admission or Member Pass. See more details at citymuseum.org/fright
