UPI — A Missouri museum gathered 309 people in banana hats to break an “a-peel-ing” Guinness World Record. The City Museum in St. Louis took on the title for the most people wearing banana hats at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

KSDK — History was made at the St. Louis City Museum. They secured the Guinness World Record for most people wearing banana hats at the same time.

St. Louis Dad — City Museum is no stranger to official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles. Last spring St. Louisans helped set the record for Largest Gathering of People Wearing Underwear on their Heads (that record has since been broken). Next week, with the Savannah Bananas heading to town, it’s time for City Museum to Go Bananas and attempt another record.
